A Look Ahead 9-22

A mistake occurred somehow with our Spelling words last week. The words I had on the blog did not match up with three of the words on our board. I think there was an accidental miscommunication between our substitute teacher and I last week. You will notice that the test was only worth 50 points instead of 100.

Reading: We will read The Horned Toad Prince. This is a fun modern fairy tale. You will get to remake an old fairy tale into a modern one. It is always fun to read your modern take on a classic tales. We will have the test for The Horned Toad Prince on Friday.

Math: Casto’s Class will take a test on chapter 3 on Tuesday. We will continue into chapter four.

Science: We will begin the study guide for Botany on Thursday. I plan to have the test on the following Tuesday, the 30^th.

Social Studies: We will be learning about groups of people from Europe that wanted to seek riches or religious freedom in the Americas. The corresponding S.S book resource is chapter 3 lessons 4—5 and chapter 4 lessons 1-3.
