Reading: This week we will be reading a play, The Tell Tale Heart. You will work on inference, illustrations, main event/ idea, theme, fluency, etc...You  will use quotes correctly to rewrite a different ending, and we will perform the play through the week, and watch a rendition on the play on Friday. You will also have a short quiz.

Math: We start chapter 11 on Perimeter, Area, and Volume. Monday we will take a pretest and cover lessons one and two on formulas for perimeter and area. On Tuesday we will do lessons 3-4 on Perimeter and area and solid figures. Lessons 5-6 will be on solid figures and spatial relationships. We will use hands on activities throughout the week. I plan to make it to lesson 7 on Volume. The corresponding homework can be found on pages 132-138.

Social Studies: We will get to do our Marshmallow Battle at Yorktown this week. We will also learn about what it took to start a whole new government of checks and balances after the war was over. We will study chapter 10 in your text on The Constitution.

Science: We will first review what we have learned about energy so far, including kinetic, and types of potential energy. We will move on to sound energy, radiant energy, and the Electromagnetic Spectrum.  We should finish booklet E and have a test by the end of next week.
