Reading: We will begin a play on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, by Barbara Robinson. You will have at least one part, maybe two. This is a play so acting and costumes will be involved. My hope it to be ready to present it at our Christmas party for your parents. J We do not have to write this one, so we will hopefully have time. You will have to practice at home, and next week you will need to have a student made costume for dress rehearsal. This is always so much fun!

Math: Casto’s Math Only: We will begin with chapter 6 lesson 8, on metrics in capacity. We will make it through lesson 12 on elapsed time by Friday. Most all homework will be in the workbook.

Social Studies: Lego Time!! You will design scenes of colonial life in the three distinctive regions with commentary on each scene as a Lego video. This will be done in small groups with one score as a group grade and one as an individual grade for a total of 100 points. We will be working on this project for the full week. Presentations are due Friday. All work will be done within your groups at school, but you may research outside of school.

Science: We will study the anatomy and life cycles of insects, hence molting. We may also do a mini report on an animal within one of the phylum we have learned about so far.
